Our Vision
It is the vision of Freedom Christian Worship Center to inspire people locally, nationally, and globally to live lives that exemplify the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Furthermore, it is our vision to be a center of Spiritual growth and maturity through the continuous development of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, through daily worship, the teaching of Biblical principals, and the application of those Biblical principles to daily life in order to become effective and productive soul winners for the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Daniel Young
Pastor Daniel was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He has served in various aspects of ministry since the age of 15, including, but not limited to musician, worship leader, Minister of Music and Associate Pastor at Kadesh Baptist Church, and Assistant Pastor at Restoration Church of Jesus Christ. Daniel has also used his gifts as a gospel artist and music producer who has released various albums for which he was awarded two Rhythm of Gospel Awards. He attended Wayne State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology, and Administration Certification. Daniel currently works at Ford Early Learning Center as principal in Ypsilanti Community Schools and is working on his Doctorate in Christian Education.
Daniel and his wife, Donella were married in 2005. She has also served in ministry in the area of Evangelism by intentionally going out to share the Gospel with people at malls and inner city neighborhoods. Donella also has earned aBachelor’s Degree in Education, and a Master’s Degree in Administration from Wayne State University. She is currently a teacher in Detroit, MI. Together with Daniel’s passion for worship, preaching, and teaching, and Donella’s passion for evangelism, they are on a path to lead hundreds into the Kingdom of God.
In 2015, Daniel answered the call on his life to pastor, and together with his wife, began making plans for the birth of Freedom Christian Worship Center. Since the launching of Freedom in January of 2017, they have gathered a team of people who shares their passion to see lives changed through worship and the sharing, preaching, and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Together they have begun to impact individuals, families, and the community.
What We Believe
ABOUT THE BIBLE We Believe the thirty nine books of the Old Testament and the twenty seven books of the New Testament to be the inspired Word of God. We Believe that these books are written without error in the original writings and that they are the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men, and are the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
ABOUT GOD
We Believe in one God Who is the Creator of all things. We Believe in one God who is infinitely perfect and eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
ABOUT JESUS
We Believe that Jesus is true God and true man. We Believe that He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. We Believe that He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, that He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We Believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
ABOUT MAN
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
ABOUT SALVATION
The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
ABOUT THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an additional experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service.
ABOUT THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST
We Believe the personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
ABOUT FUTURE EVENTS
There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
ABOUT THE CHURCH
The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.
ABOUT BAPTISM
Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
ABOUT COMMUNION
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
